Anne Crescini is university teacher and writer based in Munakata, Fukuoka Prefecture. She also works extensively with her local church to bring the gospel of Jesus to the Japanese people. She has written four books on Japanese culture and regularly blogs about her experiences in Japan. She has been happily married to her husband Riz, a lifestyle photographer, for 17 years, and has been blessed with three wonderful daughters.
Loving Like Jesus Did: Reaching Those on the Fringes of Japanese Society with the Love of Jesus – In this seminar, Anne will talk about the importance of reaching those on the fringes of Japanese society, in particular the mentally troubled and homosexual communities, with the love of Jesus. She will explore the cultural concepts and beliefs such as the uchi/soto dynamic which leave these groups feeling marginalized, and explore different strategies about how we as Christians can reach out to them, and love them into the Kingdom of God.
